- ЭлементA new aberrant species of Nipponocercyon from the mountains of southeastern China (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae: Sphaeridiinae)(2015) Fikaček, M.; Feng-Long Jia; Ryndevich, S. K.; Рындевич, С. К.Nipponocercyon satoi sp. nov. is described from the mountains of Zhenjiang and Jiangxi Provinces in Southwest China. Although the species bears all synapomorphies of Nipponocercyon Sato, 1963, it differs substantially from the other two species of the genus by its Pacrillum-like habitus (i.e. small, compact and strongly convex body with reduced surface sculpturing). The new species is compared in detail with the other two Nipponocercyon species as well as with Pacrillum Orchymont, 1941 and Megasternum Mulsant, 1844. The generic diagnosis of Nipponocercyon is adapted, and reasons for assigning the new species to Nipponocercyon are discussed.

- ЭлементAn aberrant species of Nipponocercyon from Sichuan, China (Coleoptera: Sphaeridiinae)(Pensoft Publishers, 2012) Fikáček, M.; Ryndevich, S. K.; Feng-Long Jia; Рындевич, С. К.A detailed examination of specimens of Cryptopleurum sichuanicum Ryndevich, 2005 from high altitudes of Sichuan Province, China, revealed that the species belongs in the genus Nipponocercyon Satô, 1963 previously endemic to Japan. The species is here transferred in Nipponocercyon, and N. sichuanicus (Ryndevich, 2005), comb. n. is redescribed and compared with N. shibatai Satô, 1963. The male genitalia of N. sichuanicus is described for the first time. An adapted diagnosis of Nipponocercyon is provided, and reasons for the inclusion of N. sichuanicus into Nipponocercyon and the general distribution of the genus are discussed.

- ЭлементThe beetles of the families Helophoridae, Georissidae, Hydrophilidae, Hydraenidae and Elmidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) of Kunashir Island and the Lesser Kuriles(Korean Biodiversity Information Facility, 2021) Ryndevich, S. K.; Prokin, A. A.; Makarov, K. V.; Sundukov, Yu. N.; Рындевич, С. К.The fauna of Kunashir Island and the islands of the Lesser Kuril Chain contains 47 species from 18 genera of Georissidae, Helophoridae, Hydrophilidae, Hydraenidae, and Elmidae. Two species (Enochrus vilis (Sharp, 1884) and Ochthebius inermis Sharp, 1884) are recorded for Russia for the first time. Fifteen species are new to the fauna of Kunashir Island and the Lesser Kurils. The article contains an annotated list of species, including the studied material and published records. The article is illustrated by photographs of habitats and species, maps of their distribution in Kunashir. The relationships between the species richness on an island area and the features of the fauna of Kunashir in comparison with Hokkaido are discussed. The species richness of the studied Polyphaga families in Kunashir is almost 2/3 of the fauna of Hokkaido, while the island’s area is 55 times smaller. The reason for the absence of large species of the genera Hydrochara and Hydrophilus in Kunashir is hypothesized to be a restriction of the northern range species boundaries by the July isotherm of þ16 S.
